A few years ago, in the middle of the city of Almeirim, a builder discovered a Fernão Pires vineyard that is more than 100 years old and has roots that are seven meters deep. As it did not interfere with his work, he left it intact. The story reached the ears of winemakers Monte Cascas, who remembered Cincinato Costa: 3m 1900, the first Portuguese agronomist had said that that area was the best in the country for cultivating Fernão Pires, as it is in the transition between two terrains that the variety needs , clay and sand. The adventure of this bottle begins in this story and ends with this exceptional wine, produced in the middle of buildings and roads, but the fruit of superb vineyards with more than a century of life.
