About Us
Bruno Rocha was born in Favaios, a small town full of history and tradition and known for producing Moscatel wine, located in the heart of the Douro region.
Always surrounded and involved in an environment of vineyards and wines, he soon discovered his vocation, following a training in viticulture and winemaking.
Since 2002 he has held the position of oenologist in two renowned farms in the Douro region, but in 2009 he decided to fulfill an old dream, to create his own brand and to make his wine. Thus came BR Wines and Maragato wines.
The objective of this project is to create wines of excellence without being exclusively linked to the grapes of a single farm or vineyard plot and the vast knowledge of the region that saw it born allows to make a selection and monitoring of the grapes to produce the profile of the desired wine .
