It is a wine from the Douro that makes elegance and complexity its weapons, its tannins are enveloping and soft. Vinified with all the care for the extraction does not overlap the fruit, follow a long stage in barrels of 36 months and 12 months in bottle. The result is a complex, rich and very smooth set.

Complex and stimulating wine of brownish red color with floral notes of black fruit, cassis and aroma of the grape varieties, well married with the notes of tobacco, tobacco and leather, characteristics of the barrel stage. It is a vineyard located in the heart of the top-corgo, in the parish of Castedo do Douro, on the right bank of the Douro, with solar exposure facing south.

The wines were kept separated by caste, up to 12 months after vinification. Only after an accurate test, the final batch was composed, followed by a 12-month stage in barrels. Subsequently the wine was glued and stabilized to be bottled.
It occurred between the 3rd and 4th weeks of September, in stainless steel fermentation tanks of 12 tons with temperature control. All varieties were vinified separately. The average fermentation temperature was 28 degrees Celsius. The fermentation period was 10 days, followed by 5 days of skin maceration, after which the wines were stored in small volume stainless steel tanks.
Floral notes of black fruit, cassis and aroma of the grape varieties, well married with the notes of tobacco, tobacco and leather, characteristics of the barrel stage.
In the mouth is a complex and stimulating wine of brownish red color is velvety, to live up to its name, a true red velvet.
Red Velvet is a versatile wine, both can accompany a beautiful meal as a beautiful conversation. It is the ideal wine to accompany game dishes.
